- What are V-Safes?
V-Safes are encrypted and secure online filing cabinets for use by anybody needing to receive, distribute and store files to and from others. Typical uses could be Architects and Engineers sending CAD drawings back and forth, Accountants sending tax information, friends sending resumes and CVs etc.
- How much does V-Safes cost?
We have our free usage that permits a validated user to send up to 5 files a day. Advanced users needing to track their files need to sign up for a plan. The cost of the plans depends on the volume of usage. The cheapest plan is only $19.99 per month.

- What is the limitation on DATA Transfer and File life?
The Data transfer limitation means that you have a maximum limit to the amount of data in your V-Safe at any given point of time. For example, in the BASIC plan, you can only have 80MB of stored data at any given time. If you go over that limit, you should download some files and delete them from your V-Safe. On the other hand, if you see that you are going over regularly, we suggest that you upgrade your plan.
The "File life" is the time that we keep your data on our servers. Once the time expires the files are automatically deleted from your V-Safe. So it is wise to ensure that you have downloaded any file that is in your V-Safe within the "File Life" number of days.

- What software will I need to use the V-Safes?
You do not need any special software to access
and use the V-Safes. The only requirement is that you have Internet Explorer
or any other web browser to access your V-Safes. To upload files, you may
use our web-based uploader or the VS_UploadGenie or the V-800 Call-in system.

- Is it Secure? Is it HIPAA compliant?We use industry standard 128 bit encrypted transmission for all interactions. At the same time all user have to enter login names and passwords to access the website. We implement true end to end encryption and even garble the name of the file itself on our servers. The files are all encrypted with randomly generated keys and are decrypted on the fly when you ask for it. This way even if a person gains access to the files, They would not have access to the data in the files. We use the top of the line 256bit rijndael-256 cipher in cbc mode (AES) encryption to secure the contents of your file.
All this is done totally transparent to our users, who won't feel any difference at all in their experience.
A word of caution: All the security and encryption is only as strong as the password that protects the access. So anybody with your password to our V-Safes would be able to see your files.

Yes, you can batch print multiple document files. You can also Batch download multiple files, either individually or as a single zip file.

- Why should I use V-Safes?
Two words: Identity thieves.
If you are concerned with people looking at any of your information like a resume, bills, tax data etc - V-Safes is for you.
In addition:
Using the V-Safes is an alternative to setting up your own secure FTP server and then encrypting the files for each and every person you want to share the file with. You would have to have your friend download and install some encryption software too. Also, you have to deal with all the problems associated with a professional and production grade server. The enterprise grade servers we use would have cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide your clients with the same user experience.

- What is the VS_UploadGenie?
The VS_UploadGenie is a quiet attendant whose
sole purpose is to send and receive your files. Once programmed,
it sits quietly in the taskbar, monitoring the folders you assign to it. As
soon as you drop a file into those folders, the VS_UploadGenie, will
pick it up and upload it into your V-Safes.
